- Q2 net income up 28% at BEAm but revenue down by half and losses double at Versata
- Oracle joins the grid rush with Oracle 10g
- Mass outbreak of M&A as consolidation hits EAI: Ascential captures Mercator for $106 million cash, while Pervasive snaps up Data Junction for $51.7 million and Informatica scoops Striva for $62 million. At the lower end, HP takes Talking Blocks.
- Sonic Software and TIBCO give us all a laugh (and the lawyers a nice little earner) taking their benchmark spat to the courts. Sonic released its "Business Integration Suite" while TIBCO launches yet another series of roadmaps. Final score - advantage Sonic, whose revenue has grown to $5.8 million in the quarter.
- CatchFIRE Systems launches its FIRENode product in Europe (with declaration of my personal interest...)
