- New releases from AmberPoint, Ascential, Attunity, Blaze, Fiorano, PolarLake, SpiritSoft, SwiftMQ and Tangosol.
- Both iWay and Seagull release new JCA adapters - 250 of iWays are being resold through IBM
- M&A and funding activity rises - I'm trying to ignore Oracle vs PeopleSoft vs JD Edwards, but something's clearly up with Baltimore up for sale, Choreology raising $4.5M,
- License sales often seem to be down, even when revenue is up (at DataMirror, Versant). Vitria is an honorable exception with licenses up 89% even though revenue was flat, Versant managed growth at last, and Progress boasted increased sales on the back of its eXcelon acquisition.
- Alliances all round: ILOG with Sybase, HP with BEA, Akamai with anyone, and Tibco with Salesforce.
